Cookie Policy
Last updated July 20, 2026
This page explains how Ember, Inc. ("Ember", "we", "us") uses cookies and browser storage on emberoncall.com and any subdomain we operate. We keep this minimal. We do not sell, rent, or trade any data about you to third parties.
What we use
Ember uses three categories of storage: essential cookies, preference storage, and lightweight analytics. The table below describes each one.
| Category | What it stores | Purpose | Can be disabled? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Signed session token (ember_session), CSRF token | Keeps you signed in. Without this cookie the app and dashboard do not function. | No. The site cannot work without it. |
| Preferences | ember-theme, ember-currency (both in localStorage) | Remembers your UI theme choice (system, light, dark) and the currency shown on the pricing page. Stored entirely in your browser; never sent to our servers. | Yes. Clearing site data or blocking localStorage resets these to defaults on your next visit. |
| Analytics | Anonymous page-view counter, referrer, and session duration | Counts page visits and measures load time so we know which docs pages need work. No cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, no advertising network. | Yes. Honor your browser’s "Do Not Track" signal and respect opt-out instructions below. |
How to control cookies
Browser settings
Every modern browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies. Instructions for the most common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
Blocking or deleting the essential session cookie will sign you out. Preferences stored in localStorage are cleared when you use "Clear site data" in your browser's developer tools or privacy settings.
Do Not Track
If your browser sends a DNT: 1 header, our analytics layer skips recording your visit. We do not require an opt-out cookie; the header is sufficient.
Opting out of analytics
You can also opt out of analytics at any time by emailing privacy@emberoncall.com with the subject line "Analytics opt-out" and the email address associated with your account. We will add your account to the exclusion list within five business days.
We do not sell your data
Ember does not sell, rent, license, or share personal data with advertising networks or data brokers. We do not use any third-party advertising cookies. The analytics data described above is aggregated and stored on infrastructure we control.
Third-party services
Our payment processor (Stripe) sets its own cookies when you visit the checkout flow. Those cookies are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. We do not control them, but they are scoped to the checkout domain and are not used to track you across the web.
Changes to this policy
We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we make material changes. For significant changes, we will post a notice on the changelog and, where required by law, notify you by email.
